Audi Kuwait, represented by Fouad Alghanim
Automotive Co., is sponsoring a gruelling 84
kilometer charity walk on February 6th
and 7th in aid of the Kuwait
Association for the Care of Children in
Hospitals (KACCH). Audi Kuwait will provide
the participating team of five with an Audi Q7
- its new performance Sports Utility Vehicle -
which will be stacked with food, water and
other supplies to be used by the team over the
2 day period. On their trek, the five member
team will march through the northern area of
Kuwait from Um Qasr on the Iraqi border all
the way to Al-Mutlaa. “It is a great honor to
contribute to the local charities and to have
the opportunity to help KACCH achieve its
humanitarian goals”, stated Managing Director
of Fouad Alghanim and Sons Automotive Co.
James R. M. du Lieu during the delivery of the
Q7. “We are proud to assist an organization
that aims to help children and their families
cope with the stresses of hospitalization”, he
added. Team leader Dave McCall expressed his
appreciation to the management at Audi Kuwait
for agreeing to sponsor his team explaining,
"All the sponsorship money will go directly to
KACCH to enable the provision of much needed
equipment across six hospitals in Kuwait”. “I
have visited the Amiri hospital and also Jarha
Hospital and believe that this worthy charity
is essential to the people of Kuwait and it
requires as much assistance as possible to
help raise money”, he added. KACCH is a
non-governmental charitable organization that
started operating in 1989 and was registered
with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor
in 2003. The association is managed by
volunteers and funded by donations from
organizations, businesses, banks, schools and
individuals within the country.
