This reward is well deserved by the
players of FC Bayern München: At the end
of the training camp in Rottach-Egern on
Lake Tegernsee (Bavaria) the footballers
of the German record champion’s team
received their new "company cars” in
Ingolstadt. As always, the pros had a free
choice from the sporty model range of Audi
AG. This time’s favourite was the new Audi
Q7 which – apart from captain Oliver Kahn
and newcomer Daniel van Buyten – six other
team members opted for.
The keys to the vehicles for the team and
its coach were presented personally by
Prof Dr Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the
Board of Management of AUDI AG, and his
fellow board members. "Needless to say,
after winning the Championship and the DFB
(German Football Federation) Cup, the
benchmark for FC Bayern is particularly
high this season. I am sure, though, that
the team will again be showing a series of
thrilling matches. We are pleased to be at
the side of Germany’s most successful
German football club as a partner again,”
said Winterkorn. The German record
champion and AUDI AG have been on the ball
together since July 2002. As the team’s
premium partner, Audi supplies vehicles to
FC Bayern München and is present in the
stadium at all federal league matches and
other events.
Alongside the Audi Q7, the new Audi RS 4
was another car that was highly favoured
by the players, such as by star striker
Claudio Pizzaro. Coach Felix Magath chose
the equally comfortable and sporty Audi S6
in "phantom black”.
